Love

In this month of LOVE we need to examine our hearts to see if we have gotten forgetful, lazy, and comfortable, or just plain selfish about our love for others most of all our love for our family and our spouse. I know through the years we can get "use to" the love of our lives and forget to give them the proper time they need to see our true love for them. Loving is more then mere words...it is action and I know that sometimes we get into a mode of not following our love for our spouse, significant other by not doing anything for them because we know that they love us and we love them so it is okay to not do anything...well we're totally wrong if we think that. Also if you are one of those that says "oh I don't need anything it's okay" you are wrong too...do not listen to these words people if your "better half" ever says them...they're not true.

I am truly excited about 2008 because I want to love more...love my wife, my kids, my family, and my friends. In the past I have forgotten to carry all my relationships to the next level but this year I am determined to love everyone I know more and follow through with my commitment as a husband, father, and friend.

Challenge yourself this year to Love Beyond Your Sight

1 Corinthians 13

If I speak in the tongues
of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Keep these up Michael. It's nice to see you reflect on your life and on your future. I am very proud of the person that you have become and the husband and father you are today. I love you all dearly. XOXO Jennifer

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Okay so you are by far the best husband in the world. I love you so much thanks for the poem and the song. I almost cried, it reminded me of when we were dating and we would leave eachother Love notes all the time. I love you more and more each day. You're my favorite person in the world. So sweet and special and I am more grateful each day that I married you and get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

It is so nice to know that my dear friends that I use to know so well still have a heart of GOLD. Though we have grown apart you still remain in my heart and mind. I pray for you and your family. Know that even through years and miles you are being prayed for and lifted up. I love you both and hold you close to my heart. Many Blessings,
Jennifer Bennett
